Spring Transitions

Spring is all about transitions in the garden, taking advantage of the blank slate left by winter and filling the garden and greenhouse with new life.

The winter months brought some significant changes in the greenhouse – new soil along with new management of the greenhouse and gardens. Now that the warmer months have arrived, the greenhouse is bursting with vigorous plants and the outdoor gardens are being filled with fresh seeds.

September Abundance

Outside, the garden is overflowing with this year’s gifts from the earth. It is the height of the harvest season here, as we harvest potatoes to store for the winter CSA, and fresh cabbage, broccoli, kale, peppers, lettuce, radishes, zucchini, cauliflower, chard, carrots, celery, onions, Jerusalem artichokes and flower bunches for the CSA members and special order customers.
